Very easy to install on my 2009 Chevy 3500. No drilling required. It seems very well built. Some of the front hitch receivers require you to cut away some of the plastic front bumper trim. This one does not make you do that. I bought it to carry an optional bike rack when we go truck camping. The only thing you have to be a little careful of is that the receiver does hang down in the front. A few times I tapped objects like those parking lot concrete bumper blocks. I just learned to stay back a little farther so Im getting used to it. I like the product alot.

Hitch fits well 5 out of 5. Had to muscle hitch into place - no floor jack. Used long bolts to hold in place. Over trimmed the front air jam hole.
Hardware packing 1 out of 5. An over sized nut was packed. There was no one available at Realtruck, over the weekend, to vent-out. Only have the truck and had to ride the bicycle to get the correct size nut. I hope your hardware store isnt too far away. Turned a simple job into a cluster. Cant be that hard to pack 4 of the correct size nuts and bolts!
The box that the hitch arrived in was destroyed. Several holes were taped and the receiver tube punched a large hole through the side of the box. I see why the hardware was wrapped and taped to the hitch so well.
I have not place a load on the hitch yet. Will be using a motorcycle carrier on the front of my F250 when traveling.

I just mounted the Curt front receiver on my 2001 F250 Super Duty. It is easy to mount and looks well built. All the required holes are already in the frame (four on each side). The bumper required two additional holes be drilled on each side (four total). It's all in the instructions. I use the receiver for a winch. It's at a good height (middle of bumper), and it's easy to get to the pin. The fog lights do need to be removed to make room for the hitch (two screws each). It looks like you can mount most grill guards right over the top everything, just as if the receiver wasn't there. I recommend it!

Once you get the bolts out of the tow hooks, it takes about 20 minutes to install. They even send you a piece of mechanics wire for the new bolt install, GENIUS! Great product and fast shipping.

Great product, as always Curt is first class. Instructions with pull wire through frame was awesome. Install took about 30 minutes once I did the pull wire on one side, the other side went lightning fast.

I received the hitch in 1 day. Installation time was a little more than an hour and a half. It only took that long because I couldn't find my 1/2" drive 14mm socket and then I couldn't find one of the 2 nuts that came with the hitch. (It was in a cup holder in my FJ Cruiser. I put it there when I drove to the auto parts store to buy a 1/2" drive 14mm socket.)
If I had a pneumatic ratchet wrench I could have done the install in less than 10 minutes. (If I could have found the wrench, the socket, and didn't misplace any nuts.) :-)

the hitch did NOT "fit" with no problems. I had to forcibly pull back the passenger side of the bumper(plastic so no problem) then it went right in. looks great had the winch up front, but moved it to the back to winch out. i have not winched up front yet, but i did order a receiver drop of 10 inches and turned upside down because I think the receiver is too low. it's 14 inches off the ground with a stock 4x4.good luck and happy muddin'

Very good product with good directions. If the vehicle has a lower plastic air dam, it has to be cut for the receiver tube. It would be nice if they told you what the dimensions of the slot have to be. Second time I bought one of these.

Not a hard install but it hung down below the air dam and would have caused ground clearance problems when going through ditches and situations like that. I wound up replacing the entire bumper before really using the hitch but now the hit receiver on the bumper is too tall! All in all, not a bad hitch, finish was nice as well.

I use this hitch primarily for pushing snow with my snow sport plow. Works well and held up good through the winter. Mounts through the existing holes on the factory tow hooks. If you have the FX4 package you will have to remove the skid plate for the transfer case. It can then be reinstalled once the hitch is up in place.

Hitch was a quality piece, however I was looking for a hitch for my Snowsport snow plow. This hitch has the 2" receiver ABOVE the bumper, good for winch or the likes, but not the snow plow.
