I contacted Real Truck about a question I had regarding installation of nerf bars on a new 2011 F350 Super Duty. Real Truck provided an accurate and detailed reply. Also, the nerf bars were delivered to my home on the East Coast within three days after I placed the order. In short, I found dealing with Real Truck a positive experience and would not hesitate to use them again.

Look great on the truck. I received them quickly and they were undamaged in shipping. Istructions ar pretty clear and they fit very well. I installed them alone in about an hour and a half. However I work slower than most and I spent a good bit of time crawling back and forth under the truck. I was able to install without jacking the vehicle up. You will need a breaker bar to break the body bolts loose from the bushing of the vehicle to install the brackets. I compare these to other step bars I see on vehicles and I like these best. I thought the 5" might be too big and wide but they are not. Looks great.

I ordered these and when I got them they had a couple dents in them, I immediately called customer service and they told me to take pictures of the box and the dents. Which i did and they immediately emailed me back and ordered another pair which I got, When I was suppose to get the original ones in the first place. I think they messed up and I got somebody's returned bars in the first place, but all is great now and I absolutely love them, the 5 inch step is great they look tough on my black 2010 GMC sierra. These are great looking steps. They are easily installed. Would have given them a 5 stars rating but felt the instructions could be better. But still not a hard job with a little time. The instructions didn't explain the center support brace clearly. I installed them in two hours and polished them back up.

I received the step bars within a couple days of ordering and their packaging was great. No damages / no missing parts. Putting them on my 2009 Sierra crew cab was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. The problem was two fold. The front bracket had no clearance to properly use a torque wrench without an extender which added to the cost of self installation. (wrench + extender cost $100+) Second was the problem of needing to add a large waasher on the same front bracket. Without the washer the bracket rubs on the metal housing that surrounds the bushing. This caused me to have to reinstall the steps once I figured were the squeeking was coming from. With all this I still found the install easy and they look great.

The looks and function are the best. Installation was less than easy. I found the rear body bolts provided were too short to have all the washers and rubber bushings installed as shown. I had to make adjustments to make the installation work. I am a Mechanic/Machinist with over 40 years experience so my opinion should carry some weight.

2010 Ford F150 SCAB. I researched nerf bars/steps extensively, and was very pleased with the fit and finish of the Raptor Series steps. Raptor packages the steps well, and they arrived in perfect shape and very protected. Installation was a breeze, taking about an hour in my garage. For the Ford F150 applications, note that each step will use two brackets regardless of cab-length or wheel-to-wheel. I chose wheel-to-wheel for a "different" look, and think that the truck looks great. Steps seem rock solid. Also, RealTruck.com was a pleasure to purchase from. My order was fulfilled promptly, and steps arrived within a few days.

Love the Raptor Magnum 5" Oval Tube Step Bars SS - but I must coment on the "mounting brackets" I strongly feel there should have been three (3) not two and they should mount to the "frame " not the body eventhough the car manufacture says body ! It is all about strength ! The shell (body ) of a vehicle is no where near as strong as the frame of a vehicle and thus safer
Delivery of material also was very prompt and wrapped sufficiently - good job!

Very easy to install except for middle support bracket. Instructions are not very clear. It took some time to figure where to place the small bar with the two bolts attached. Once I located the holes in the under body, you have to feed it through the larger of the two holes first and then "Fish" it out of the smaller. Once I figured this out, it was easy. They pay great attention to packaging the product so as to not be damaged during shipping. I would recommend to others.

Excellent product. Quick ship. The instructions were a little vague but anyone with a little mechanical ability will be able to figure them out. The one area that is confusing is how the washers are used. They don't show a difference between the flat washers and lock washers. The bracket packages are clearly labeled as to where they are to be installed. I recommend that all bolts, washers, and nuts are laid out and temporarily assembled to ensure you have them together correctly. You will need two 17mm sockets and a 5mm allen wrench for installation. Once I had all the fasteners laid out, the installation was done in about an hour.

Steps are beautiful, well packaged and protected. There is a bracket that looks like 2 bolts with the heads cut off and tack welded to a piece. of key stock, they go to a brace in the middle of the steps to help support them, with only a small amount of torque the first bolt I was tighting broke completely off of the "key stock". After examining it I found the smallest tack weld possible and there was rust surrounding the weld. I looked on the box, the instructions and every where else I could find and there is no way to contact the manufacture of the steps, I did not take this further by contacting RealTruck and I fabbed a replacement bracket myself. The service, the web site, the selection and speed of shipment from RealTruck was great and I will buy from there again, I can't hold RealTruck totally responsible for every manufacture that they represent quality.

First of all I have to commend tonnocover.com on their excellent communication and service. I was well informed from the moment the order was placed and kept up to date through every step of the process. As someone who has been stung by online shopping before, this is something I really appreciate. Realtruck.com will be my first stop when shopping for anything for my truck in the future. A+ all the way.
The step bars themselves seem to be of good quality. The side walls of the tubing itself seem somewhat thin but they are solid. The brackets are solid and the steps arrived well packaged with all required hardware in tact and well labeled.
The instructions were clear and installation was a breeze. I had it finished in roughly an hour. On my 2007 NBS Silverado the brackets install right to the body mounts and not the rocker panels like other bars I've used in the past. This is something I like and it definitely creates a solid connection to the truck. After everything is tightened they don't move under my weight whatsoever and I'm no small guy. Once installed the bars are very attractive, solid, and in my opinion they offer good value for your dollar if you're looking in the 5" step bar range.
A couple of tips. Keep everything a little loose until you get them right where you want them. Then tighten everything at once. They come with rubber gaskets that go between the bars and the brackets that like to slide around and make it difficult to line up the bars. I added a touch of clear silicone to the back of the gaskets and stuck them to the brackets to keep them in place while attaching the bars. Worked like a charm. I also wore vinyl gloves to keep the fingerprints to a minimum.

My experience was very good although there was a little confusion on the type of cab we have(extended cab vs crew cab, how different can they be?). Unfortunately we received the wrong step bars so they had to be returned and replaced with the correct size. The process was quite easy and REALTRUCK was very supportive in the matter. We would recommend REALTRUCK to anyone!! Thanks for everything.

Just finished the install. Sketchy instructions - just use the long bolts they provide for the mounts. The rest is simple. The bars look perfect. I like the polisted ends rather than the black plastic plugs. Very nice.

Put these on a 2009 GMC Duramax 2500HD 4 door. They look great. The larger Oval steps look better that the standard round steps. Installation was very easy. I would definately recommend these for anyone looking.

The polished ends of the step bars look sharp and feel solid. I am one that does not ussually work on my vehicle, but the installation was too easy. I received the order very quickly and installed the same day. I would recommend these over any other steps.
