Go Rhino Dominator II Side Steps - Cab Length

I have just finished installing the side steps on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and they look great. My only problem that I have gotten use to stepping up into the truck for the last four years and now I have side steps. It will take a while getting use to them but I believe they are going to work out just fine. The installation instructions we right on. It took me about two hours doing the install by myself and all went perfectly. I have some new torsion bar keys to install that will raise the front end up about 2 1/2 inches and these new side steps will really come into use then. Thanks to Realtruck. the realtruck price is hard to beat. I live right by GO Rhino in california.. like 10 miles away, but it was cheaper for me to buy through realtruck due to the no tax and the freeshipping. almost 200 hundred cheaper and it shipped directly from GO Rhino anywase so it came in like 2 business days with the ground shipping. now to get on the product itself. its just as advertised; looks clean, sturdy and no hassle installation. The directions are worthless, but its a common sense install and only basic handtools are needed. Realtruck.com gets 5 out of 5 stars for price, customer service, and expedient service. However I'm gonna drop 1 star from the product because I wish it stuck out to the side maybe 1.5 to 2 inches or so or made the tubing perhaps 1 more in in diameter. I say this cause the tundra crewmax is so large although the steps might look big on other trucks, it looks just a tad bit small. not enough for me to say it doesnt look good...but just enough for me to want that 1 more inch to make it PERFECT.

Great product like always from Go Rhino...Pulled it out of the box 5:45pm...had them installed by 6:30pm by myself, great instructions with pictures of even the type of truck i was installing them on. I docked the stars down to 4 because of two reason's. One, it's the way they delivered my box, the box looked as if it was thrown into the sky and never caught while it was descending back to earth...the evidence of this came in the form of the box looking like a twinky...you know..round around the edges but this thing unfortunately didn't have cream filling...it had my freaking step rails!! Fortunately my rails did not receive damage...box..well it did its job i guess. Two, I never saw the delivery guy..maybe because the box looked like a twinky and he didn't want to explain to me why it looked the way it did, in any case i missed the guy..not a big deal..the big deal is the fact i live in a very busy street, people walking and people driving by all day, i came home off work and saw my box sitting in front of my gate as i turned the corner on to my street...as i turned the corner!! Exactly 100-125 yards away i saw my prize purchase sitting in front of my gate telling all those who passed by ..Take Me I'm Yours!! This really pissed me off..honestly I'm a very peaceful man..but this put me into a rage like no other..fortunately my rage only lasted 20 seconds cause work makes a man tired of rage....seriously to anyone reading my review...there is a lesson to be learned here...BUY THE F-ING INSURANCE...Don't be like me and be confident in any delivery system..cause there are instances where stuff like this happens..I'm just thankful that it didn't get stolen. These are fantastic - they are the perfect step for getting in and out, they look sharp and were easy to install. Maybe took an hour total, maybe. The local supplier wanted $490.00 ish plus for the steps and another $200 to install them. We are thrilled with the money we saved, quick delivery and easy installation. Not to mention the sexy look! Thank you!

Side steps themselves are great, and all hardware is included. Fastners are 8.8. I am replacing them with 12.9 grade.

Packaging is excellent, and the steps arrived with no damage or scratches.

The instructions are vague, and the pictures are too dark and are pretty much worthless.

When I first priced these steps (from another retailer) they were well over $700. Imagine my delight when I found them for nearly $200 less! They are well worth the money! We have oversized tires on our truck. I am only 5'5" tall, so getting in the truck took some effort. But now, I can hop in and out just as easily as my husband. Besides the practical use, they look great! I couldn't count how many people have commented on them and asked where we found them!

Great value, easy installation instruction , everything fit as advertised, takes two sets of hands, one set to put the bolts in and one set to hold the steps.

Very easy install - everything lined up and bolted on nicely. They look killer on my Nissan Titan Crew Cab and I've gotten several compliments. Be sure to re-torque after a couple uses - they will loosen up some. Just went through a winter in WV/OH and I've noticed some discoloration around the weld seams and step pads - almost a rust/dull effect. I will try to buff the bars once the weather gets nicer, but I paid more for polished stainless steel because I thought they would match better with the black truck and require less to maintain, but if I have to buff these regularly it will get annoying pretty quick.
